Infinite Snake
No walls, no edges, no mercy. The board wraps around on itself, and fast eating builds a combo multiplier worth up to eight times the points.
Keyboard: ↑↓←→ or WASD to steer, P pause, R restart, M mute. Touch: swipe or d-pad.
Snake without walls
Infinite Snake removes the single biggest killer in the classic game: the wall. Drive off the right edge and you glide back in from the left; drop off the bottom and you reappear at the top. The only thing left to hit is yourself, and by the time your combo is running hot, yourself is everywhere.
Wraparound changes the geometry of the game completely. The shortest route to an apple is often through an edge, and the corner - death row in classic snake - becomes just another patch of open space. If you have only ever played walled snake, the first few minutes feel like a magic trick.
The combo system
Every apple starts a 4.5 second timer. Eat the next apple before the timer runs out and your combo climbs: x2, x3, and so on up to x8. Each apple is worth its face value multiplied by your current combo, so a full x8 chain scores eight points per apple. Hesitate once and the combo drops back to x1.
That timer is where the risk lives. Chasing a chain means taking straight lines through the middle of the board, exactly where your body coils. The best Infinite Snake players think in orbits: wide loops that pass through the wrap edges and swing back across the apple lane at speed.
Tips for big combos
- Use the wrap as a shortcut. If the apple is far left, exiting right is often quicker and safer.
- Keep the middle clear. Park your growing body along one band of the board so the apple lanes stay open.
- Bank the combo mentally. When your snake gets long, deliberately let a chain die rather than forcing a fatal shortcut.
